Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and developed by Moonton, appears to have
relaunched on Google Play Store for Android users in India with a
new name. The game is now called Moba Legends: 5v5!, it offers same
user experience like MLBB, ensuring a smooth transition for previous
players.
According to its listing on the Google Play Store, the Vizta Games is credited
as the publisher of the game. Vizta Games is known for titles like
Mobile Party and Watcher of Realms -AP. Interestingly, the
support email provided on the Play Store listing does not bear any affiliation
with Moonton or Vizta Games but instead uses a standard consumer Gmail domain.

Despite its ban in June 2020, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang can still be access in
India through manual installation of the APK from external sources. The game’s
servers remain operational within the country, allowing players to enjoy the
game without the need for VPNs or other workarounds. Notably, the in-game
Diamond Store still displays prices in USD, despite previously using Indian
Rupees (INR) prior to the ban.
The ban was imposed along with 58 other Chinese apps by the Ministry of
Information Technology, the reason cited concerns over activities deemed
detrimental to India’s sovereignty, integrity, defense, security, and public
order.
In response, the MLBB Operation Team stated its commitment to user privacy and
security, stating efforts to collaborate with the Indian government in
reinstating the game. Requests for clarification from Moonton by various media
outlets, including Esports.net, GamingonPhone, as well as IGN India are yet to
get a response from MLBB team.
